تحدث ألفريد شرودر، مساعد رونالد كومان المدير الفني لـ برشلونة، عقب الفوز على فالنسيا في منافسات الدوري الإسباني.

وتواجد شولدر على مقاعد بدلاء برشلونة الليلة، في ظل تنفيذ كومان لعقوبة الإيقاف، بعد طرده في المباراة الماضية أمام غرناطة لحدوث أزمة مع حكم اللقاء.

وفاز برشلونة على فالنسيا (3-2) ورفع رصيده لـ74 نقطة في المركز الثالث، متساويًا مع الوصيف ريال مدريد، ويتصدر أتلتيكو مدريد بـ76 نقطة.

ونشرت صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية، تصريحات شرودر بعد المباراة، وقال عن رد فعل الفريق الليلة بعد هزيمته في الجولة الماضية أمام غرناطة: “مباراة لا علاقة لها باليوم”.

وأضاف: “لعبنا الشوط الأول بشكل جيد وكان رد فعلنا جيدًا بعد ذلك، أعتقد أننا استحقينا الفوز، لقد عمل الأولاد بشكل جيد وأظهروا أن لديهم شخصية بعد الهدف الأول، هذا مهم جدًا”.

وأردف بشأن المنافسة على اللقب: “كلنا قريبون، نحن لا ننظر إلى الفرق الأخرى، بل ننظر إلى أنفسنا”.

وبِشأن المواجهة القادمة أمام أتلتيكو مدريد، أكد شرودر: “الأسبوع المقبل ليس حاسمًا، لدينا أربع جولات يجب أن نحاول الفوز فيها”.

وعن مدى ثقته في قدرة برشلونة على الفوز بالليجا، قال: “كل شخص في برشلونة يثق في لاعبيه، في يناير كانت المسافة مع أتلتيكو مدريد كبيرة، وكنا بعيدين جدًا، والآن نحن قريبون، إذا فزنا الأسبوع المقبل، فإننا سنتقدم عليهم”.

وواصل: “الهزائم مؤلمة، لكن لا يمكنك تغيير الأشياء التي فعلتها في الماضي، لا يمكننا تغيير نتيجة مباراة غرناطة، نحن نتطلع إلى الأمام”.

وبشأن استقبال برشلونة للمزيد من الأهداف مؤخرًا وضرورة تحسين الدفاع، أفاد شرودر: “الهدف الثاني الذي استقبلناه اليوم صعب التصدي له، لكن صحيح أننا لم ندافع جيدًا أمام غرناطة خلال دقيقتين أو ثلاث من المباراة، ومن المهم أن تكون لديك الكرة وتتحكم في اللعبة”.

توجّ نادي أياكس أمستردام بلقب الدوري الهولندي لموسم 2020/2021، بعد فوزه على “إيمن” بأربعة أهداف نظيفة، في المباراة التي جمعت بين الفريقين، اليوم الأحد، على ملعب “أمستردام أرينا”، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الواحدة والثلاثين من الدوري.

As quoted by the club’s official website, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Fred for his role in the victory over Brighton in the Premier League.

What did he say?

The Red Devils registered a fine 3-1 win over the Seagulls on Sunday afternoon, and they looked to be at their fluid, attacking best, racking up 21 shots on goal.

Whilst the forwards appeared to have a field day, one man who dominated proceedings in the middle of the park, was Fred. As per Sofascore, the Brazilian won six duels, two tackles and provided one key pass as he helped run the show at Old Trafford.

And, speaking after the game, Solskjaer heaped praise on the £47m man, and insisted he was central to stopping Brighton from getting into the contest.

He said: “You get confidence from playing games. He has not really had a run of games and I think he set us up with his midfield play. He won the ball. We had to get after them because, with (Davy) Propper and (Dale) Stephens in midfield, we couldn’t let them get on the ball and I thought Fred was maybe the catalyst.

“Maybe there were a couple of fouls he shouldn’t have made in the first half to give them chances because that was one of the big opportunities they had, from set-plays. But, otherwise, he was excellent.”

Turnaround

After flitting in and out of the team last season and ending up with just 25 appearances to his name in his debut campaign for the club, Fred has begun to turn his Old Trafford career around. The 26-year-old has now played and completed the full 90 minutes in the previous five Premier League games for United, and has established himself as permanent fixture in the first-team alongside Scott McTominay, in Paul Pogba’s absence.

When the Frenchman returns from his injury, it will be very interesting to see whether Fred will have done enough to keep his place. But on his current form – including his spirited performance in the defeat to Bournemouth last week – there are signs the midfielder is beginning to come good.

زيدان بدأ حديثه عن خوض ليلة رائعة في دوري الأبطال، وقال: “المشاعر جيدة، نحن جاهزون، نعرف ما الذي أتى بنا إلى هنا، سنبذل قصارى جهدنا لنذهب إلى النهائي”.

وعن وضع لاعبه سيرجيو راموس العائد من الإصابة، أضاف الفرنسي: “إنه معنا، هذا يعني أنه على ما يرام، إنه الشيء الأكثر أهمية، أن يكون لدينا قائد في الملعب”.

وبالنظر للإصابات والحالة البدنية للاعبين، سُئل زيدان هل هي معجزة القتال من أجل دوري الأبطال والليجا؟ وأجاب: “لا على الإطلاق، على العكس، نحن هنا من أجل عملنا ونؤمن بما نقوم به، في كرة القدم لا توجد معجزات”.

وبشأن القلق من تسجيل هدف سريع، استطرد زيدان: “سنلعب مباراتنا وهي 90 دقيقة أو أكثر، عليك أن تستعد جيداً لهذا، إنها مباراة نصف نهائي، ولا تُلعب كل يوم”.

وشدد زيدان بشأن جاهزية لاعبيه، قائلًا: “كل أولئك المستعدين، سنموت جميعًا من أجل ريال مدريد، كل الذين جاءوا مستعدون للمباراة، لا تقلق”.

وواصل: “الخطة لن تغير أي شيء، جسديًا يجب أن تعاني في الملعب، لقد حدث بالفعل في مباراة الذهاب، الأمر نفسه، ما يهمني هو ما نفعله بالكرة”.

زيدان أشار إلى أنه رأى مباريات تشيلسي لكنه أفاد أن ذلك لا قيمة له، موضحًا: “لقد رأينا تلك المباريات لكنها عديمة الفائدة لأن الغد مباراة أخرى مختلفة تمامًا، لمواجهة قواتهم، التي تتمتع بالجودة ثم عندما يتعلق الأمر باللعب لدينا أسلحتنا”.

Denmark are gearing up for their clash against Gibraltar later on tonight and as always, Christian Eriksen is more than likely to grace the pitches for his national team as one of their leaders having been called up once again.

Interestingly enough, the great Dane, for all his obvious qualities, is somewhat struggling in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur.

He is not really getting picked as often as he used to be by Mauricio Pochettino and that has definitely taken a toll on his general output and, quite possibly, on Spurs’ performance in the domestic competition in 2019/20.

So far, Eriksen has tallied 14 appearances for his team across all competitions but that equates to only 861 minutes, two goals and one assist.

When we compare that to his last season’s tally of ten goals and 17 assists, it puts thing more into perspective, especially considering he was in the starting line-up 30 out of 36 times in the Premier League. Now, after only 11 games, he’s already been benched four times and didn’t come off the bench at all against Sheffield United last time out.

But according to a recent report coming from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan are keeping tabs on the Danish playmaker and would be willing to incorporate him come June next year.

Of course, the same report emphasises the Nerazzurri know it will be a tall task but if the opportunity arises, they will definitely try and pounce on it with both hands.

For that reason, their fans might want to keep their eyes peeled for the 27-year-old tonight and see for themselves whether he can prove his worth and warrant the links with their club.

Of course, his out-of-favour status with Pochettino and the fact that his contract expires in the summer of 2020 mean Inter could get a discount for Eriksen, or even get him for free, but Antonio Conte first has to deem him worthy of a transfer in the first place.

Even though he’s not firing on all cylinders for Spurs, he usually performs rather well for Denmark, already bagging 29 goals in 93 appearances for his country.

Maybe the Premier League stage is not really a clear depiction of his quality at the moment but the international one just might be.

Better keep those eyes peeled, then.

Many Crystal Palace fans have discussed a rather disturbing statistic on Twitter about Christian Benteke.

The Belgian forward is still getting picked by his home country despite his poor form for the Eagles, which has been going on for quite some time, now.

After a Twitter page pointed out the striker has scored more in his last three games for Belgium than he has in his last two seasons for the red and blue in the Premier League – a rather worrying stat for all – fans were quick to respond.

His poor form at Selhurst Park has made Roy Hodgson’s patience wear thin. In fact, the number 17 has struggled to get into his starting team since the beginning of the season and has not started a league game since the club’s 2-0 loss to Sheffield United in the second game-week.

Jordan Ayew – bought for £2.5m during the summer window – has instead been favoured. He currently tops the charts for Palace at the top of the goalscoring list, having bagged four times.

Many fans discussed Benteke’s goal record, with a fairly mixed response. Some suggested it wasn’t surprising considering he’s played lesser opposition on the international stage, while another even blamed it on Hodgson.

Birkir Bjarnason has opened up to Under a Gaslit Lamp about his time at Aston Villa and his relationship with the club’s fans.

What did he say?

Bjarnason played a total of 54 games for Aston Villa, scoring six goals and getting three assists, having been at the club from January 2017 up until the summer of 2019.

The 31-year-old, who now plays his club football for Al Arabi in Qatar, has opened up about his time at Villa Park, with one of the topics being his relationship with the club’s supporters while he was there.

Speaking to Under a Gaslit Lamp, he said: “It’s a massive club with a lot of fans – there was always a huge amount of supporters at away games which is very impressive.

“It made a big difference for the players to see the support, and I always had a great relationship with the fans. I enjoyed being able to play for them whilst I was at the club.”

Cutting through the frustration

The Iceland international did not always have the best time of things during his time with Villa as he often found himself out of the side.

His frustration was hinted at when he scored during Villa’s memorable 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Having gone on a weaving run and finishing his delightful solo effort off by hitting the ball past John Ruddy, he simply smashed it back into the net for his celebration, not really joining in with the jubilation that was going on around him.

In the aforementioned interview, he admitted: “It was the frustration that I didn’t start, that I wasn’t appearing in consecutive games that came out in that celebration.”

However, it can be said that he took a lot of the support from the fans who filled the ground, while he also signed off from the club in arguably the best possible way, as he helped to win the play-offs and get Villa back to the Premier League.

In other news, Villa fans have been reminiscing about a goal scored against Birmingham City.

تابع: “أنا أهملت في الكرة ولكن بدون قصد، ولم أفكر في الدخول بشكل قوي، كنت أحاول الحصول على الكرة لكن تدخلت بشكل عنيف دون قصد”.

وواصل: “كان بإمكاننا الفوز بالمباراة، ولكن الله أراد هذا السيناريو”.

استكمل: “أنا كنت أسدد دائمًا ركلات الجزاء وكنت رقم واحد ولكن حاليًا لا، وسواء أنا من كنت سددت أو أحد من زملائي سدد فلن تدخل لأن هذه إرادة الله”.

أوضح: “فخور بفريقي على أدائهم طوال الموسم، لن نستطيع الفوز بكل مباراة، ولكننا نجتهد ونقدم أداء جيد في الملعب”.

أكمل: “أنا لست لاعب مستهتر أبدًا، ودائمًا أفكر في مصلحة فريقي، أنا ألعب وسط فريق فخور به، وأتمنى أن تتفهم الجماهير أننا في مركز محترم في أصعب دوري مر عليّ”.
