However, with the likes of ManCity reportedly having a long-standing interest in him, it may really be make-or-break time for Spurs this season, as they need to begin to deliver success if they want to ensure that the 27-year-old finishes his career as a one-club man.

أعلن الاتحاد الغيني لكرة القدم في بيان رسمي، عن ظهور إصابتين بفيروس كورونا في صفوف المنتخب، قبل أيام من انطلاق منافسات كأس أمم إفريقيا 2021.

وتنطلق منافسات كأس الأمم الإفريقية يوم الأحد المقبل في الكاميرون، وسجلت غينيا حالتين إجابيتين بفيروس كورونا.

وحسب البيان، المصابان بكورونا في صفوف منتخب غينيا هما مايكل ديرستام مدافع سابربسورج النرويجي، وكيموكو كامارا مدرب حراس المرمى.

وأوضح البيان أن الثنائي سيبقى في معسكر المنتخب في رواندا، ولن يسافرا مع المنتخب الغيني إلى الكاميرون.

In an exclusive interview with Football FanCast, Kevin Phillips, who scored 191 goals during his career, believes that Lee Johnson has told Aiden McGeady he is the main man at Sunderland and has let the winger have control of the dressing room.

McGeady was exiled from the first team under Phil Parkinson, however when Johnson took over he integrated the winger straight back into his side and he has registered 11 assists in 19 league games.

Phillips believes there would have been an agreement between Johnson and McGeady to get the 34-year old back to his best, and that may have come in the form of giving McGeady more responsibilities and a free role on and off the pitch.

Speaking on McGeady’s form since returning to the side in December and his role off the pitch now, Phillips spoke exclusively to FFC:

“He’s a cut above the rest but the biggest thing for Aiden is if he wants to do it himself.

“I think you have to give credit to Lee Johnson. I’m pretty sure he would have said straight away to him, ‘you’re going to be my main man and I’ll let you run the dressing room as long as you’re performing’.

“It looks like Aiden’s playing with a smile on his face, he’s enjoying his football and that’s good man-management.

“He could make himself a real hero on Wearside if he helps the team to get promoted this year.”

McGeady did not feature in Sunderland’s matchday squads until December 5 but he’s only failed to start one game in the league since then.

Since the winger was reintroduced into the first team squad Sunderland have lost just three games in the league which has seen them become serious contenders for automatic promotion.

– Eu blindo muito essas negociações, pessoal que cuida da minha carreira me ajuda muito, só me passa quando a caneta estiver na mão. Se Deus quiser, no fim do ano, quando puder ir, irei. Mas a minha mente está focada aqui. Sair daqui com um título brasileiro, com Olimpíada, valoriza muito mais.

وتابع: “لقد أظهر اللاعبون التكاتف لأول مرة بعد فترة من عدم الاستقرار، كان أداء نيجيريا مثاليًا يوم الثلاثاء وخاصة بالتركيز على الأجنحة”.

وأضاف: “في المباراة، من الصعب أن تميز من كان يلعب في خط الوسط أو الهجوم لأنهم كانوا يتبعون أسلوبًا جماعيًا، لعب الفريق مثل القطار المتحرك ويمكنك أن ترى المدربين مشغولين بنقل تعليماتهم للاعبين في الملعب”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “في الحقيقة، نجح المدافعون في حبس محمد صلاح وهو ما أظهر مدى روعتهم، من الواضح أنهم منعوا وصول أي كرة له ولم يستطع فعل أي شيء، حتى عندما أتيحت له الفرصة كان محاصرًا قبل أن يتسبب في أي خطورة”.

ووجه أولابي نصيحة إلى لاعبي نيجيريا في النهاية، وقال: “الفوز مجرد بداية، وعلى النسور التركيز في المباريات المقبلة حتى نهاية مشوارهم في كأس أمم إفريقيا، لأن أي إخفاق سيتحول المديح إلى نقد قاسي ولذلك يجب ألا يسمح اللاعبين للفوز بتهدئتهم في قادم المواجهات”.
