Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri could be edging closer to a departure from Craven Cottage this summer.

What’s the talk?

According to reports in France (via Football League World), Napoli and Galatasaray are keeping a very close eye on the situation of the 30-year-old ahead of a potential move in the summer transfer window.

The report continues by stating that the Serie A side are contemplating an offer for the Ivory Coast international as a result of an injury crisis, however, it is not mentioned whether they would want to sign the midfielder on a permanent or temporary basis.

It is also stated that, with Seri now entering the final year of his contract in west London, should the Cottagers wish to receive any kind of transfer fee for their £27m 2018 signing, they will have to do so this summer.

Stealing a living

It would be a difficult argument to make that Seri has been a successful signing for the Cottagers, as the midfielder has made just 36 appearances in all competitions over his three years at the club, having been twice sent out on loan – firstly to Galatasaray and most recently to Girondins Bordeaux.

Indeed, in the one full season the 30-year-old has spent at Craven Cottage following his arrival, the £3.6m-rated man failed to live up to expectations, averaging a disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.55 over his 32 Premier League appearances back in the club’s 2018/19 campaign.

And, considering the man Xavi once claimed possesses “Barca DNA” is reported to earn a princely £65k-per-week at Fulham – the second-highest salary in the current Cottagers squad.

It would indeed appear highly advisable for Marco Silva to do all he can to move the midfielder on this summer, particularly as it seems the Portuguese boss has no intention of utilising Seri this season, with the former OGC Nice man being an unused substitute in the club’s season-opening fixture against Middlesbrough last weekend.

The diminutive 5 foot 6 ace would be merely stealing a wage by not playing and festering away in the reserves all season. It’s time to be ruthless and shift him out before this month’s transfer deadline.

Lenda do tênis de mesa, Dagoberto Midosi, o Dagô, chegou a vestir a camisa rubro-negra mas fez história com a tricolor e da Seleção Brasileira no século passado.

O ex-mesatenista é um dos precursores do esporte e a história é longa. Dagoberto representou a primeira seleção que disputou o Campeonato Mundial, em 1949, na Suécia. Depois disso,Midosi ainda competiu nas edições de 1952 (Índia), 1953 (Romênia), 1954 (Inglaterra), 1955 (Holanda), 1956 (Japão) e 1957 (Suécia). Vale lembrar, por exemplo, que a Seleção Brasileira de futebol conquistou a primeira Copa do Mundo apenas em 1958, quando Pelé ainda tinha 17 anos.

Dagoberto foi procurado pela reportagem do LANCE!, mas, preparando sua festa centenária, não pôde conversar. Em entrevistas recentes, contou o início de sua história no esporte.

– Em 1941, havia parado de jogar ping-pong. Depois, inauguraram no Brasil o tênis de mesa. Estava na faculdade e não queria me adaptar. Falaram que nos bailes tinham as moças mais bonitas do Rio de Janeiro. Rapidamente aprendi a modalidade e fiz parte da equipe campeã do Fluminense por 17 anos consecutivos – brincou o ex-atleta, antes de aconselhar.

– Não parem nunca. Quando não der mais para competir, pratiquem o esporte que se dedicaram a longa vida. Foi isto que me permitiu chegar a essa idade – concluiu ao programa ‘Falando de Esporte’.

Entre as conquistas, Dagô foi vice-campeão estadual individual de 1930 a 1933; campeão de 1934; 3º lugar no Sul-Americano de 1947; campeão Sul-Americano de 1949; campeão Sul-Americano de 1950; campeão Mundial Master de 1959.

Whoever lifts the cup will take on Trinidad & Tobago, the 2008 Stanford 20/20 champions, ahead of the £10million winner-takes-all match between Stanford’s All Stars team against England.According to a report in The Daily Mail, Stanford will offer each member of the county £30,000 for their efforts, but only if they win. The tantalising offer will go some way towards compensating the counties if the proposed Champions League, which is due to feature the two teams that contest the final, fails to take place.At present, the Champions League proposal is on the rocks due to the insistence of the host board, the BCCI, that the counties will be disqualified if they include players from the “rebel” Indian Cricket League. وعن برادلي، قال: “هو مرتبط بعقد مع فريقه الحالي وأبلغني أنه لن يستطيع ترك فريقه من أجل تدريب المنتخب المصري، ولم يحدث أي تواصل مع اتحاد الكرة من أجل التعاقد مع برادلي لتدريب المنتخب من الأساس”.

وأضاف: “الأداء كان سيئًا خلال الـ3 مباريات التي خاضها منتخب مصر تحت قيادة إيهاب جلال، ولدينا مدربين في الدوري المصري تشبه كارلوس كيروش وعلى رأسهم طارق العشري وعلاء عبد العال، جميعهم قادرين على التنظيم الدفاعي وتنفيذ التحولات وشاهدنا ما يفعله العشري أو عبد العال أمام الأهلي والزمالك”.

وتابع: “إيهاب جلال هو أفضل مدرب مصري قادر على لعب كرة قدم، لكنه لم يحصل على فرصته كاملة لتنفيذ فكره، الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم لا يعطي المدرب الوطني احترامه ولا يدعمه”.

وواصل: “حزين من كل المدربين المصريين وكنت أتوقع خروجهم في وقفة احتجاجية أمام الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، اعتراضا على تصريحات جمال علام ضد إيهاب جلال”.

واختتم: “المدرب الأجنبي أفضل لمنتخب مصر لأن اتحاد الكرة يخشاه”.

Newcastle United have now reportedly reached an agreement to sign Santiago Munoz before the summer transfer window ends.

The Lowdown: Some story

A lot of members of the Toon Army will be very familiar with the film ‘Goal!’, which starred a young Mexican footballer called Santiago Munez, who went on to play for the St. James’ Park faithful.

Although the name is not quite the same, it appears Tyneside could be about to experience a very real-life Goal! story if the latest transfer developments are to be believed.

The Latest: Munoz agreement

As per ESPN, Munoz is one step away from signing for the Tyneside club, who have now reached an agreement with his team Santos Laguna.

They even claim that a full agreement will be reached ‘within the next few hours’, meaning a deal could be done very soon.

The Verdict: Why not?

Aside from the obvious and charming comparisons to the film, snapping Munoz up could well turn out to be a good bit of business by Steve Bruce’s squad.

The striker has shown that he can score goals for both for club and country despite being just 18 years of age, netting eight times in 16 games for the Mexico U17’s as well as finding three strikes in 19 matches for Santos (Transfermarkt).

He is certainly a player for the future, and by getting him now, the Magpies could really benefit from his continued development, perhaps selling him on for a massive profit in the future.

اتفق أعضاء المجلس على اتخاذ مبادرات لحل مشاكل عدم احترام الحكام وسلامتهم والتي اعتبروها تحدث في كل المباريات في جميع أنحاء العالم، بما في ذلك ارتداء الحكام كاميرات لتحديد التعديات ضدهم من قبل اللاعبين أو أي طرف في المنظومة.

وافق المجلس على اعتماد قاعدة التبديلات الخمسة في مباريات كرة القدم بشكل دائم بعد استخدامها في العديد من البطولات أثناء فترة فيروس كورونا، لمنع اللاعبين من الشعور بالإجهاد وتم تمديدها لعدة مرات لتصبح تستخدم في 3 فترات بالإضافة إلى بين الشوطين أثناء المباريات.

تمت الموافقة على زيادة عدد اللاعبين الاحتياط على مقاعد البدلاء من 12 لاعب إلى 15 لاعبا بشكل رسمي لتصبح قائمة المباريات في البطولات المجمعة 26 لاعبًا.

وقرر المجلس أنه يجب خروج أي لاعب يُصاب بارتجاج فعلي في المخ أو محتمل من الملعب، لضمان سلامته بدلًا من استمرار مشاركته واحتمالية زيادة إصابته.

سيتم زيادة تقنية الفيديو (VAR) بخاصية جديدة تحدد حالات التسلل بشكل أسرع وأكثر دقة وتسمى بتكنولوجيا التسلل شبه الآلية، بعد تجربتها في أكثر من 100 مباراة.

كما تم مناقشة أشياء أخرى مثل شرح بعض قرارات الحكام أثناء المباراة، حساب الوقت الإضافي الفعلي والركلات الحرة المباشرة.

Valued at just £18m by Transfermarkt, he was linked with a move to Goodison Park earlier this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast this week, Forza Italian Football editor Conor Clancy suggested he should have been signed already.

He said: “There’s no competition between Boga and Townsend. Boga is twice the player Townsend is – and then some.”

Must sign him

Like Clancy states, Boga is evidently a better player than one of the players they’ve brought in.

Consequently, Benitez could take his Everton attack to a new level by securing the 24-year-old’s services.

Once of Chelsea, the left winger was described as a “supreme talent” by former Blues coach Michael Beale.

It’s clear to see why too. Boga is a nightmare for defenders and is capable of dominating opponents with his incredible dribbling ability.

During the 2020/21 campaign, the Ivorian completed 3.2 dribbles per match, a number that was only bettered by Rodrigo de Paul in the whole of the Italian top-flight.

If we compare that figure to those already at Everton, it’s streets ahead of anyone. Their top dribbler last season was Richarlison who completed 1.8.

To elaborate on his ability with the ball, Boga ranks in the 97th percentile for dribbles completed by players in his position across Europe’s top five leagues.

With the attacker displaying a keen eye for goal in Italy, he has the potential to be devastating in the Premier League too. This is a move that would improve Everton’s offensive line significantly.
