طلب مجلس إدارة نادي النصر السعودي برئاسة مسلى آل معمر، من الثنائي المحترف، الظهير الأيسر الإيفواري جيسلان كونان والمهاجم الكاميروني المخضرم فينسينت أبوبكر، العودة بأسرع وقت ممكن عقب انتهاء فترة التوقف الدولي.

وبحسب صحيفة “الرياضية” السعودية، من المنتظر عودة الثنائي إلى الرياض في 28 سبتمبر الجاري، من أجل التواجد في التدريبات الجماعية للمدرب الفرنسي رودي جارسيا.

وينتظر مشاركة الثنائي معا في تدريبات النصر أيام الخميس والجمعة والسبت في إطار التحضيرات لمواجهة الأحد الثاني من أكتوبر المقبل أمام اتحاد جدة على ملعب مرسول بارك في الجولة الخامسة من دوري روشن السعودي.

وكان أبو بكر شارك مع منتخب الكاميرون في الخسارة أمام أوزبكستان بهدفين دون رد وذلك في مباراة لعبت في مدينة سيول الكورية الجنوبية، بينما سيلعب كونان مع كوت ديفوار أمام توجو في معسكر تحضيري في فرنسا.

ويحتل فريق الاتحاد المركز الثالث في ترتيب جدول الدوري السعودي، برصيد 10 نقاط، من الفوز في 3 لقاءات والتعادل في مواجهة واحدة.

بينما النصر يأتي في المركز الرابع في ترتيب الدوري برصيد 9 نقاط، حققها من الانتصار في 3 مواجهات، وخسر في مباراة واحدة.

Indeed, over his 19 Serie A appearances so far this season, the £11.7m-rated defender has helped his side keep five clean sheets and has scored four goals, as well as making an average of 0.9 interceptions, 1.1 tackles, 0.8 clearances and winning 62% of his duels per game.

These returns have seen the player, who Daniel Stendel dubbed an “extraordinary talent”, average a highly impressive SofaScore match rating of 6.91, ranking him as Sinisa Mihajlovic’s sixth-best performer in the top flight of Italian football.

And, while Greg Taylor is undoubtedly a decent option on the left-hand side of Postecoglou’s defence, there is not much in the way of depth behind the 24-year-old, with the £15k-per-week Boli Bolingoli – dubbed a “stupid” footballer by Kevin Kyle – being the club’s most senior backup to the Scotland international.

As such, with Bolingoli being linked with a move away from Parkhead this winter, it would seem an extremely wise move for Postecoglou to do everything he can to move the 26-year-old on next month, and subsequently put the money received from his sale, in addition to his heft weekly wage, towards a move for the highly-rated Hickey.

Crystal Palace have been enjoying a great run of form, picking up points in 13 of their last 20 games, putting them in 11th, just outside of the top half of the table.

With Patrick Vieira steering the club in the right direction he now goes into his second transfer window, and there is already an incoming and an outgoing transfer rumoured.

What’s the word?

Journalist, Robin Bairner, has confirmed that Jean-Philippe Mateta will be leaving Crystal Palace this January in a recall to Mainz and then a loan move to Saint Etienne.

Bairner Tweeted:

“Jean-Philippe Mateta is set have his Crystal Palace loan terminated and will instead join Saint-Etienne.”

“Le Progres reports that Mainz (who own him), Palace and Sainté have come to an agreement over the striker.”

According to the report from Le Progres, the £30k-per-week flop is set to commit to a loan deal with the Ligue 1 side imminently, after falling out of favour at Palace.

Replacement ready to sign for Palace

Mateta has only featured in two starting line-ups in the Premier League this season, and has clearly fallen out of favour at the club, so Vieira would likely be relieved to get the centre forward off the books to make way for a much more reliable goal-scorer in Eddie Nketiah.

The £9m-rated Arsenal star who was hailed “electric” by former Leeds United player Tony Dorigo, has been heavily linked with a move to Palace in January, and he seems like he would be the perfect fit for the club when you compare him to the signings Vieira has already made.

The French manager signed two young attacking players in midfielder Conor Gallagher, and forward Odsonne Edouard in the summer, with both enjoying success in the side, and it would make sense for Nketiah to join the pair at Selhurst Park as he fits the same profile, as a promising offensive player.

Despite not being given too many chances to shine in the top-flight, with just three appearances so far this season, the striker has showcased his talents representing Arsenal in the three EFL Cup games he has played in, where he has scored five goals already, helping the Gunners to secure a spot in the semi-final.

The Eagles will be hoping to continue to pick up points in the second half of the season, and adding a prolific goal-scorer could help the side gain more wins to gain a top half finish at the end of the campaign, which would be an incredible achievement for Vieira in his first term.

The Whites are in desperate need of midfield additions this month, with Victor Orta hoping to bring both a defensive and attacking midfielder to Yorkshire over the coming weeks.

One player who has been linked is Vieira, with reports towards the end of 2021 going as far as to say the 23-year-old is ‘ready to return home’ with his bags packed.

Vieira has made just 44 appearances for Sampdoria since joining from Leeds in 2018 and is yet to feature in 2021/22 due to injury.

Clubdoria46, a local outlet in Genoa, claim that Leeds are ready to sign Vieira this month after he returned to the bench following his injury-hit campaign.

The Premier League reportedly ‘tempts’ Vieira, and it seems a Sampdoria exit could be on the cards following the emergence of youngster Gerard Yepes.

The Verdict: A start…

Leeds could really do with getting bodies in the door with time ticking – they currently have just three fit central midfielders – so perhaps bringing Vieira back to the club could be a shrewd first step.

Reports have claimed Marcelo Bielsa can only sign players on loan this month, so a temporary move for a player he knows well might be of interest, especially with Vieira seemingly over his injury woes and returning to Sampdoria’s matchday squad in 2022.

Orta may well look to include an option to buy for Vieira if possible, and if he can replicate the form that earned him a £6.39m move to Italy, then it could be a smart piece of business.
